CHAIR J81 BY JØRGEN BÆKMARK FOR FDB MØBLER

The Danish firm FDB reissues this design icon, created in the 1960s by Jørgen Bækmark. The J81 chair is made of solid beech wood (with FSC certification from European forests) lacquered in matt black and braided seat with natural wicker rope. Here is the "big sister" of the J80 chair, to which the master Bækmark added the armrests, thus achieving a more comfortable chair, it is also slightly wider than its "sister", a detail that further enhances its comfort.

And remember: FDB, the Danish Cooperative Society of Consumers, was born in 1940 creating high-quality furniture by great designers, with a functionalist and democratic production to reach every Danish home. Unfortunately it closed in 1980, but in 2013 the Danish Cooperative relaunched FDB Møbler, reissuing some of the most beloved products of mid-century Danish design, along with new furniture inspired by its old collections... and now in El Receidor you can buy everything your catalog ;)
