Mid-Century Danish DRESSING TABLE
A small original dressing table from the 1960s, which by the shape of the mirror support we can attribute to the Danish label Aksel Kjersgaard. Made of natural teak wood, it consists of a rectangular board, finished with a stylized molding carved on its short sides, under it a duo of drawers (both 17 cm wide, with the upper with a useful height of about 13 cm and 5 cm lower) all with turned handles typical of Scandinavian design of the time. A square folding mirror crowns the structure, which stands on four stylized bambi legs (circular section narrowing towards the base).
Completely restored to its original splendour (just to mention a scar on the lower vertex of the chest of drawers), its lightweight design makes it less stable.
And remember: the mirror is removable, if you want to use it separately its measures are 47,5 x 47,5cm ; when you remove it the height of the table is 65 cm.
