Teak Sideboard Dunbar by A. H. McIntosh Scotland
Elegant creation of the Scottish firm A.H. McIntosh & Company, the main piece of its range of Dunbar dining rooms from 1965. Minimalist design of perfect proportions in teak wood, a careful work of remarkable cabinetmaking that manages to balance aesthetic excellence and functionality. Another of the main characteristics of this sideboard undoubtedly lies in the simplicity of its lines, contributing to this the Scandinavian style that it valued at the time. Made of laminated natural teak wood, which presents us with a front organized in five streets: in the central part a group of 4 drawers (the upper one with an upholstered base and with compartments for cutlery) flanked by double-door modules that hide a wide space with fixed shelf (the right one gives us the pleasant surprise of a sliding tray hidden in the upper part).
After passing through our restoration department, it has recovered the striking state, both structural and aesthetic, of the first day (mitigating its minimal signs of use throughout the structure and only mentioning a slight tarnish on the drawer upholstery).
And remember: an impressive sideboard that will look great in any contemporary setting ;)
